Cannes 2022 Trends and what to expect in 2023

The Cannes Film Festival is an annual festival that takes place in the south of France. Celebrities and artists from all over the world attend the red carpet and parties. This year, my boss and I have the major opportunity to travel to Cannes during the film festival. As we are facing the event, I wanted to take a look at some of the makeup trends that we saw last year and what we can expect this following year.

Here, we have some examples of Alessandra Ambrosio & Anne Hawathay in a classy elegant white dress with minimalistic make-up while Elle Fanning & Deepika Padukone wore a bold bright color for a pop of color - both STUNNING dresses! As you can see, people were into the simple and sophisticated looks then. This year we are entering the clean, natural and minimalistic era of makeup. I feel like we are expecting to see glowy skin and maybe a pop of color; could be magenta since it is the Pantone color of 2023 or even lavender. I am excited to see what makeup artists create this year for the festival and what looks our clients want us to achieve!
